Betting preview: Manchester United - West Brom

With a whopping 50 points sitting between both sides, Manchester United should feel pretty confident playing West Bromwich Albion. Big wins against Liverpool and Manchester City may have just re-awakened the Red Devils. With a regulation match to come, though, can they live up to expectation here?

Home News

For United, the win last weekend should give them a spring in the step. With only squad players like Sergio Romero, Marouane Fellaini and Daley Blind missing out, they can go more or less all-in. Romelu Lukaku, an ex-Baggie and a flat-truck bully to an extent, will feel like he can add to his tally in this match.

Meanwhile, the return to form of Paul Pogba should help United get a positive return here. With Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial likely to start, too, we could see United go for a major win here against a flailing Baggies side.

Away News

Under Darren Moore, you’d expect West Brom to match his commitment and solidity. With James Morrison, Nacer Chadli, Jonny Evans, Sam Field, Daniel Sturridge and Gareth Barry all likely out, though, there’s not exactly much to pick from.

West Brom are very mediocre and lack any kind of redeeming qualities for a side at this level of the game. This should be a very fun to watch, but we expect West Brom’s lack of defensive qualities will play a role in this. We’d love to be more optimistic, but given the season they’ve endured bright spots are rare indeed.

Match-up to watch

There’s not a great deal to look at with regards to a match-up; United win in every single part of the pitch. If Salomon Rondon and Jay Rodriguez can finally link up together, they could give the rather erratic Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly some trouble.
